Every Glass Arcade character becomes part of the Story Quest through a collectible character card. The five statistics aren't simply numbers. They tell you what kind of character you have discovered.

Every character card tells you something special about the character you’ve discovered. From their unique abilities and favourite foods to where they’ve been found, each card helps you learn more about the characters that make up the Glass Arcade universe.



• Every character has their own name, personality and story waiting to be uncovered.
• Characters belong to different types, each reflecting their personality and strengths.
• Every character has a special ability that can help you during your Story Quest.
• Every character has a favourite food — and it might reveal something about their personality!
• Each character has a connection to a special place within the Glass Arcade Worlds.
• Every character has five unique stats that reveal their strengths

Collect characters. Discover their abilities. Build your team. And find out which characters can help you on your next adventure! New characters can be added as new books and stories are released. That means your collection can continue to grow.

The five statistics aren't simply numbers. They tell you what kind of character you have discovered.

One character might be incredibly brave. Another might be a fantastic puzzle solver. Another might be the best friend in the whole Glass Arcade.

The clever part is choosing the right character for the right challenge.

The Story Quest can be played as a simple two-player card game. Your opponent chooses five characters too. Shuffle your cards and place them face down.

• Each player needs 5 character cards

THE CHARACTER CHALLENGE

The youngest player goes first!

Turn over the top Character Card from your deck. Now choose ONE of the five character statistics:

😈 Mischief

🛡️ Bravery

🧠 Cleverness

❤️ Friendship

Choose wisely

the statistic you pick could determine who wins the round!

WINNING THE ROUND

Keep playing until all the Character Cards have been played. When the final card has been revealed, count your cards. The player with the most cards wins the round!

QUICK GAME

Want a faster adventure? The first player to win 3 rounds is the winner!

GRAND GAME

Ready for the ultimate challenge? The first player to win 5 rounds becomes the: STORY QUEST CHAMPION

SPECIAL CHARACTER ABILITIES

Some Character Cards have special abilities that can change the outcome of a challenge. Use them at the right moment to give yourself an advantage, help your teammates or turn the game completely upside down!

The Fair Play Rule

Special abilities should never make the game impossible to win. The purpose is to make every character interesting and give players reasons to build different teams.

Remember:

• A rare character isn't automatically the best character.
• A common character with the right ability can beat a much rarer character.
• The best Story Keeper is the player who knows which character to choose and when.

TEAM CHALLENGES

The Story Quest becomes even more exciting when players work together.

• Choose three characters.
• Each character contributes one statistic.
• The combined team must beat the challenge score.
  

READING CHALLENGES

Every card has a story and every story is an adventure waiting to be discovered.

The Glass Arcade Story Quest isn’t just about winning cards. It’s about discovering stories, meeting characters and uncovering the secrets hidden throughout the Glass Arcade Worlds.

Some characters may have a special Reading Challenge waiting for you.

READING CHALLENGES

The game isn't just about winning cards.

It's about discovering stories.

A character may have a special reading challenge.

For example:

2. Who did DinoWorm meet?

3. What happened at the end?

When the event ends, the character disappears from the normal collection.

But...

Story Keepers who earned the card keep it forever.

CHARACTERS FROM THE PAST

At the beginning of each new Story Quest season, some characters may become unavailable.

But occasionally...

THE TIME PORTAL OPENS.

A character from a previous season returns.

Players have one chance to complete their special mission.

This creates excitement for long-term players without making new players feel like they have permanently missed everything.

Some returning characters could even have:
